Paris is the capital and most populous city of France also called the City of Lights. Since the 17th century, Paris has been one of Europe’s major centers of finance, commerce, fashion, science, and the arts. We have been there a few times, but never during winter. So we grabbed our cameras and some stuff and took a morning train to Paris (just a 4h ride from Berne). Once there we had a five-day metro ticket. Discovering the city is easy, download the metro app (Next Stop Paris) and you’re ready to go. Paris is so amazing, so many corners and places to visit. Even if it’s crowded, you’ll get some lonely streets and alleys. Just look for them. Hotels? Yes, tons of them. Ours (Hotel Pulitzer near Montmartre) was a top place. Clean, pricy, quiet and a hell of a breakfast.
