No matter how many Youtube videos you’ve watched or photobooks you’ve seen about Kenya, nothing quite prepares you for the thrill of seeing real, untamed animals in the wilderness.

The best way to discover Kenya’s incredibly wildlife is to go on a safari – not only is it the safest and most responsible way of seeing wild animals, it also allows you to travel across vast savannah plains without boundaries or fences between you and the animals. So did we – we booked a private safari and started in Mombasa the 3000-km-trip.

We have no words, you’ll feel as though you’ve been transported into a magical scene of Out of Africa as you drive alongside herds of majestic elephants, zebras, wildebeests and graceful giraffes.

So many national parks to see: Tsavo East & West, Amboseli, Samburu, Masai Mara, Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Sweetwaters .. we did all of them.

On top of this, Kenya’s coastline is a haven of tropical, white sandy beaches. Perfect for a few days after the safaris and game drives. Our recommendation is certainly Diani Beach.
