I embarked on a journey to capture the soul of Gujarat, focusing on its vanishing tribal worlds.

My adventure kicked off with the Gamit, Warli, and Bhil communities near Saputara, where I shooted the vibrant daily life and the energy of their Mobile Haats. I dived deep into culture, documenting the sacred, ritualistic Pithora paintings and watched artisans craft the famous Sankheda lacquered furniture.

The landscape shifted dramatically when I headed to the Little Rann of Kutch to meet and photograph the resilient Agariya salt farmers working the stark white pans. Finally, I immersed myself in Kutch’s artistry — captured the iconic mirror-adorned Bhungas, the detailed Mutwa embroidery, and created intimate portraits of the Rabari and Bharwad people.
